WildCraft is a studio and school, offering workshops for adults in contemporary craft practices, studio art, plant medicine and land-based skills. Our White Salmon, WA studio hosts weekend workshops in herbal medicine, Native basketry & weaving, as well as foraging and natural building workshops. Our Portland, OR studio offers 4-week courses and weekend intensives in contemporary craft practices, textile arts, design and studio arts. Flying Coyote Farm is our ‘farm host’, offering weekend workshops in herbal medicine, canning, farming and butchering.
WildCraft also offers numerous offsite foraging & harvesting workshops from mushroom hunting to traditional cedar harvests, rockhounding to coastal wild edibles. These workshops take students on adventures into wild and remote areas wilderness areas in Oregon & Washington.
Regardless of what WildCraft class you take, or studio you visit: we are striving to create spaces where interdisciplinary practices can live side by side, informing and expanding the approach to each study. Our classes and teachers embody this goal, by bringing nature to studio work, aesthetics to the garden, and design-thinking to all projects. Through this integrated curriculum, we hope to dissolve the divisions that exist between art and everyday life.
